With his loan spell with Santos in Brazil set to expire at the end of December, Inter are wanting to test Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa in Europe according to a report from Tuttosport.

After a difficult time at the Nerazzurri and on loan at Benfica, Inter loaned him back to former club Santos where the 22-year-old has used the familiar surroundings to rekindle his previous form and get himself back on the right track.

To date, he has scored 27 goals over the course of the loan spell and Inter are looking to loan him out come the January transfer window with a view to permanently moving him on.

Everton, West Ham United to name but a few are quoted as interested in him by the Turin newspaper while Brazilian clubs Palmeiras and Cruzeiro are also understood to be keen.

Inter value Gabigol at around €20 million but they first must find someone willing to take on his €2.7 million annual salary.
