New information has come out thanks to security camera images that disprove initial theories about the fights between Inter and Napoli ultras prior to the team’s encounter on boxing day at San Siro, Gazzetta dello Sport detail.

Four Napoli fans were wounded as a result of the clashes while one well-known Inter ultra was run down by an SUV and later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The morning after the events, Milan’s Police chief Marcello Cordona revealed he and his colleagues believe Inter ultra Daniele Belardinelli was rundown by a Napoli fan-driven SUV travelling in the wrong lane on the road. However, the images of the camera’s show that it was travelling in the correct lane toward San Siro.

Investigations have been further helped along by one of the testimonies of Luca Da Ros, one of Inter’s ultras who was arrested in connection with the events.

Da Ros told investigating judge Guido Salvini in great detail how the events unfolded. He unveiled that the events were organised by four of Inter’s ultras, two from Boys San Siro, one from Viking and one from Irreducible.

All in all, between 100-150 Inter ultras took part in the attacks on Napoli fans and two bags of weapons including hammers, have been recovered.
