Pierpaolo Marino spoke on Inter’s interest in Nicolo Barella where he revealed he believes the Nerazzurri are the front-runners for his signature.

“Inter lack competitiveness compared to Napoli but they must also close the technical gap with Juventus and in this respect we will have to wait and see what work Marotta will carry out. There is a lot of curiosity with regards to Luka Modric and Nicolo Barella,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

Marino then went on to speak about Barella who has drawn interest from Inter and Napoli among others.

“I see Inter as the favourite in the race for Barella, while Napoli will have to move some players on if they wish to make room for the Cagliari midfielder.”

Marino then concluded the interview by speaking on the racist chants that Kalidou Koulibaly was subjected to and hit out at other fans in the stadium for not doing anything about it.

“What did the other spectators do to silence everything? If chants start in a Curva, as they did in Milan, the other three stands in the stadium can shut them up.”
