Inter legend Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi discussed the objectives of both Inter and Napoli in an interview with Sky Sport show, Il Club.

“Where do Inter and Napoli want to reach? They have two options. They can either try to get on the back of Juventus in the race for the Scudetto or they can instead decide to go all in for the Europa League. I think that Napoli is a step forward compared to Inter,” Bergomi said.

Bergomi, who spent his entire career with Inter, then went on to share how many points he thinks Inter will finish on this season.

“Inter came fourth last year with 72 points, and this year they reached the halfway point with 39 points, which means that they will be pushing 80 points at the end of the season.”

He concluded the interview by reflecting on Inter’s match against Sassuolo.

“Against Sassuolo Spalletti’s men struggled, particularly in the second half. In the end it is a positive 0-0 result. Icardi was in the shadows but we have once again noticed how he has also grown a lot in his game outside of the box.”
