Monaco have made an enquiry to Inter about the availability of central defender Miranda according to a report from Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter want at least €5 million to allow the veteran defender to leave but without a replacement in place it makes it very difficult for a deal to be done, especially given there is very little time left in the current transfer window. Moreover, the Nerazzurri will not entertain a loan offer for the 54-time Brazilian international.

At the beginning of the month reports were rife that the Brazilian was considering his future with the club due to his reduced level of playing time this season. Some clubs, including Roma, showed an interest but no move came to fruition.

The 34-year-old has been limited to just 11 appearances across all competitions and his appearance against Torino at the weekend was his first appearance for Inter since the 1-0 loss to Juventus back on December 7.
