Matteo Politano and Roberto Gagliardini are likely to be part of the squad that Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini will bring together at the national team training base Coverciano at the start of next week according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Politano’s form this season has warranted a call-up while Gagliardini is somewhat of a shock inclusion given he is largely out-of-favour at the Nerazzurri having made just 11 appearances across all competitions this season for a total of 679 minutes.
The full squad, as per the Milan based newspaper, will look like so;
Goalkeepers; Gigi Donnarumma, Salvatore Sirigu, Mattia Perin, Alex Meret.
Defenders: Alessandro Florenzi, Andrea Conti, Alessio Romagnoli, Mattia De Sciglio, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Spinazzola, Daniele Rugani, Cristiano Biraghi, Giangiacomo Magnani, Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Midfielders: Stefano Sensi, Sandro Tonali, Rolando Mandragora, Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Nicolo Zaniolo, Robeeto Gagliardini.
Attackers: Federico Chiesa, Federico Bernadeschi, Moise Kean, Domenico Berardi, Patrick Cutrone, Roberto Inglese, Lorenzo Insigne, Stephan El Shaarawy, Fabio Quagliarella.
