Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow night’s second leg Europa Leagur round of 32 match-up with Rapid Vienna.
“The three victories in a row have put things in place. The players have shown that they can work both professionally and seriously,” Spalletti stated in an interview with Inter’s in house TV channel, Inter TV.
“Replacing the recent errors is an advantage to us in view of the coming matches. We are becoming more convinced about our capabilities.”
He then spoke on tomorrow’s opponents, who need at least a goal to force extra time.
“They will feel more free to express their qualities after the first leg result and will not stick to any particular tactics or strategies.
“They know that to be in with a chance of winning they will need to score at least one goal.
“They will be coming to San Siro to do this, for sure.
“We can take advantage of this though. If we don’t and make mistakes while trying to do everything effortlessly, then it will be complicated for us.”
Spalletti then spoke on the impact the Inter fans can play.
“They help us to do our best. On Sunday against Sampdoria when it went 1-1, the crowd helped the team.
“The team are very thankful for this as it helped them secure a fundamental victory.
“If the fans continue to show this kind of support when things aren’t going right, we can only get stronger.”
