Calcio e Finanza have examined the potential economic impact of Inter and Juventus performing a swap deal involving Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala.

Mauro Icardi has a balance of €3.7 million against Inter’s balance sheet and an amortisation of €1.2 million per season thus meaning he will count for just €2.5 million against Inter’s books so long as he does not sign a contract renewal between here and June 30.

As for Dybala, he has a balance of €19.4 million against Juventus’ books and an amortisation of €2.7 million. So, just like Icardi, if he doesn’t sign a renewal his balance will come down to €16.4 million.

Therefore, based on the idea that both players are worth €100 million, a swap deal would be equivalent to Inter making a €97.5 million gain on Icardi and a €83.6 million gain for Juventus on Dybala.

Gazzetta dello Sport have meanwhile stated that with Dybala currently earning €7 million net and Icardi €4.5 million net, as a hypothesis, if both players earn €10 million net a season at their new clubs, it will represent €18.5 million gross or before tax. The impact that would have on the balance sheet would be €43.5 million per year.
