Gazzetta dello Sport have examined the chances of Mauro Icardi featuring in this weekend’s Milan Derby.
As per their report, the club are beginning to lose all hope of the Argentine being available due to the fact that there has been no sign of a solution to the ongoing saga despite talks between Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and the Icardi’s laywer Paolo Nicoletti continuing.
The report also goes on to discuss how the team have taken the recent events.
Icardi has not played for Inter since February 9 and the team – and manager Luciano Spalletti for that matter – are wanting an explanation for the events that have occurred since February 13, the day he was stripped of the Inter captaincy and refused the call-up for Inter’s match against Rapid Vienna the next day.
The 26-year-old has played 28 games across all competitions this season and has 15 goals to his name and three assists.
