Borja Valero has recovered from a thigh injury in time to be involved in Inter’s match against Roma tomorrow, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Valero was initially expected to miss the game after being forced off during the second half of last weekend’s win over Frosinone, creating an emergency in midfield with Marcelo Brozovic already out.
However, the Spaniard has overcome the problem and trained with the rest of the first team yesterday, meaning he should be fit for at least a place on the bench at San Siro.
Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino remain favourites to start in midfield against the Giallorossi, with Joao Mario on standby as a third option for Luciano Spalletti.
Brozovic will almost certainly miss the game as he treats a thigh problem of his own, but the Croatian should be back for next weekend’s match at home to Juventus.
“He is still working on his own for the moment, but he is making progress,” Gazzetta said.
