With Mauro Icardi’s Inter future still up in the air, Turin based newspaper Tuttosport have taken a look at how the Icardi’s intend to play things.

“The tactics of the Argentinian couple remain the same. They publicly continue to reaffirm their desire to remain in Milan because they want Inter to make the first move, in order to prove that the club wants to sell Icardi,” the report begins.

“Considering the strong investment that Suning will have to make to relieve Spalletti and appoint Conte, Icardi’s future, remains far away from Milan.

“Through his sale, Inter expect to collect at least €70-80 million. It is no secret that Marotta would sacrifice Icardi to get Dybala, even at the price of selling the striker to Juventus. Alternatively a deal could be done for Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.”

The report concludes that a swap deal that would see him join Juventus would not be as bad as some other potential destinations.

“A swap deal with Dybala would be a solution that, undoubtedly, would be good for the Icardi’s too, because Wanda does not want to leave Milan. She wishes to avoid moving the family far away and does not want to leave her work commitments.”
