Xian Emmers will return to Inter at the end of the season and his future at the club will be at the mercy of the new manager, presumably Antonio Conte, according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The young Belgian midfielder has spent the season on loan in Serie B with Cremonese and has by many accounts had a good season in the Italian second tier.

As per the report, Emmers could once again be sent out on loan next season or alternatively he could be included as a counterpart in one of Inter’s many expected transfer dealings in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Genoa had been particularly keen on signing him but no longer seem as interested with it understood they have now turned their attention to signing other players to the 19-year-old.

This season he has made 20 appearances across all competitions. In 1150 minutes on the field, he has tallied a single goal and provided one assist.
