Fiorentina are willing to double Federico Chiesa’s wages in order to persuade the forward to stay for another season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus and Inter are highly interested in acquiring the 21-year-old, with the Bianconeri comfortably in the lead after agreeing personal terms this week.

New Viola owner Rocco Commisso has other ideas, however, and is preparing to make Chiesa the strongest offer he can to keep hold of him.

Gazzetta reported: “Commisso will offer Chiesa and his father Enrico a one-year contract extension that would see him double his wages, as well as receive a series of add-ons, the captain’s armband and money in exchange for his image rights.

“What will Chiesa do now? Agree to stay after obtaining the most Fiorentina can offer him technically and economically, or put his foot down and risk a standoff?

“It certainly won’t be simple for him to decline the offers he has received in the last few weeks.”
