Wanda Nara’s confrontational personality is giving her husband and client Mauro Icardi a bad image for the forward’s potential suitors, according to one high-profile journalist.

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni today told Radio Marte that Napoli should make an attempt to sign the Argentine, having already come close in 2016.

However, he also admitted Wanda’s peculiar style of negotiating for her client could work against him in the future.

“I don’t think Icardi is a hothead, at least I’ve never seen that in him,” Zazzaroni said.

“The problem is he has a wife and agent who is a very awkward presence for him, and I think it’s prejudicing his image.

“A lot of clubs don’t want to bring a problem into their house. He’d certainly be a good signing for Napoli though, I’d sign him tomorrow if I were them.

“It doesn’t look to me as if Inter want to sell Icardi on the cheap. They’re looking to sell him, but for €70 million.”
