Suning owner Zhang Jindong is the ninth wealthiest owner in European football, according to a report published by Il Sole 24 Ore.

Zhang is joint-ninth in the new list alongside Monaco’s Dmitry Rybolovlev, both of whom boast a staggering personal wealth of $6.8 billion.

The Chinese businessman is ahead of Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is worth $6.2 billion, and is the second wealthiest owner in Italy after Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, who is fifth with $15.9 billion.

Mexican tycoon and Real Oviedo owner Carlos Slim is top of the standings with an eye-watering $59.2 billion to his name, making him the fifth richest man in the world altogether.

Francois Pinault is second on behalf of French club Rennes with $31.7 billion while Manchester City’s Sheikh Mansour bin Zayd Al Nahyan is third with $23 billion.

Zhang Jindong acquired a 68.55% stake in Inter back in 2016 and has since seen his son Steven appointed the club’s president.
