Mauro Icardi risks being frozen out of Inter’s first-team squad if he doesn’t agree to leave the club, according to Corriere della Sera.

The striker and wife and agent Wanda Nara are preparing to leave Milan for their summer holidays after refusing a meeting with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta.

Marotta and head coach Antonio Conte no longer consider Icardi to be part of their plans and will now be forced to inform Wanda of their decision over the phone.

“No solution can be excluded while this standoff continues, not even the threat of Icardi being left out in the cold if he stays,” Corriere della Sera reported this morning.

Inter held a two-hour transfer summit in Milan yesterday to discuss the club’s current targets on the market.

Valentino Lazaro remains a priority but the Nerazzurri will need to speed up their pursuit if they are to sign the 23-year-old ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

Mateo Kovacic, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez are all targets at Real Madrid, but Inter will struggle to finalise any of these deals before 30 June.
