Inter will not send any of their young players to Roma in a deal to sign Edin Dzeko, according to Tuttosport.
Dzeko has long since agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri and is waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement.
Initially it seemed Inter would include an academy talent in the deal to lower Roma’s asking price, with Davide Merola frequently linked in the past few weeks.
However, Dzeko will join in a cash-only deal if and when Roma accept Inter’s offer.
The clubs remain distant in their valuations of the 33-year-old but the paper assured ‘in all likelihood’ an agreement will be reached.
Antonio Conte has identified Dzeko as his first choice in attack ahead of the 2019-20 season, although the former Juventus and Chelsea boss wants to sign Romelu Lukaku as well.
Inter were expected to complete a deal with Roma in short order but the Giallorossi have proved harder to convince than first thought.
