Corriere dello Sport have detailed how newly appointed Inter manager Antonio Conte has immersed himself since taking charge a few weeks back, particularly when it comes to Inter’s transfer dealings.
“Conte has completely immersed himself in this new adventure and life with great participation in every move made by the club, to the point of bombarding both Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Piero Ausilio to have even the smallest update.
“He expected to have some more certainty, particularly on the Edin Dzeko and Nicolo Barella fronts as both deals seemed to be in sight a few weeks ago. However, the gaps in negotiations with Roma and Cagliari have not significantly reduced and therefore everything has slowed down.”
The report also brings an update on Inter’s pursuit of Valentino Lazaro, who has taken matters into his own hands.
“Lazaro has asked Hertha Berlin to facilitate negotiations and reach an agreement with Inter as soon as possible.”
