Next week could prove decisive in Inter’s pursuit of Hertha Berlin’s Valentino Lazaro according to a report from Sky Sport.

Inter and Hertha Berlin have been negotiating over the Austrian international for a few weeks now and it is understood that €5 million currently separates the clubs in talks.

The 23-year-old, who would play as a right wing back in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system, has been subject to interest from Paris St Germain and from the Premier League but reports have suggested that he has set his sights on a transfer to the Nerazzurri this Summer.

He joined his current employers back in 2017 on loan before completing a permanent switch last Summer from RB Salzburg.

This past season he made 34 appearances across all competitions for the German capital city club. In 3043 minutes on the park, Lazaro, who is under contract until the end of the 2022/23 season, scored three goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
