Inter are working to revamp their first-team squad ahead of the new season but that is not the only shake-up the club are planning, as Tuttosport explained today.
Antonio Conte’s arrival as head coach will shortly be followed by the official return of former Nerazzurri midfielder Gabriele Oriali in a managerial role.
The club’s backroom staff are also being reshuffled, though, with three new faces set to arrive in the next few days.
Marco Scalvini is due to replace Sandro Maistrello as head of Inter’s training complex while Matteo Pincella and Matteo Tagliacarne will arrive as nutritionist and team manager respectively.
Scalvini will oversee the renovation work Inter are planning for the Pinetina, which includes refurbishing the pitches and building a new apartment block near the dressing rooms.
The new block should be ready by the end of 2019 and will feature 40 single bedrooms, a restaurant, a video analysis room and a dining room.
Pintus will join up with Conte again after spending two years together at Juventus, while Tagliacarne replaces Fabio Pinna as he leaves after three seasons.
