Barcelona are ready to activate the €112 release clause in Lautaro Martinez’s contract with Inter according to a report from Argentine news outlet Radio La Red.

The Blaugrana have been left impressed by the Inter striker’s performances during the Copa America, with him having scored two goals in three appearances at the tournament thus far.

Nou Camp officials have hopes of replicating the successful partnership struck between their star man Lionel Messi and 21-year-old Lautaro whilst they have represented Argentina.

The report goes on to state that Racing Club would be beneficiaries if Barcelona do go ahead and sign him as they are due 10% of any future sale involving him therefore meaning they would be entitled to €11.2 million.

Lautaro joined Inter last Summer and went on to make 35 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign with the club.

In 1761 minutes on the field, he scored a respectable nine goals as well as providing two assists for his teammates.
