Stefano Sensi will undergo a medical with Inter tomorrow as the midfielder prepares to join from Sassuolo, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Sensi has returned to Italy after holidaying in Marrakesh and Formentera and is ‘enthusiastic’ about signing for the Nerazzurri.

The 23-year-old will double his salary, with Inter offering him €1.5 million per season, but his excitement is more down to the fact he will be fighting to win trophies for the first time in his career.

He will be ready to join Antonio Conte and the rest of the first-team squad when Inter meet up ahead of preseason training on Sunday.

Inter also hope to announce the arrival of Valentino Lazaro from Hertha Berlin today, having reached an agreement for €21.5 million plus €3 million in add-ons last week.

Conte, who visited the club’s offices yesterday with Gabriele Oriali, had identified the Austrian international as an important transfer target and was particularly pleased when the deal was finalised.

Lazaro will sign a five-year deal worth €2 million per season and can now decide which shirt number he wants, although Borja Valero is unlikely to leave in time for him to have his preferred no. 20.
