Inter could move for Emerson Palmieri if Antonio Conte is unable to convince Ivan Perisic to convert himself to being a left wing back according to a report from Tuttosport.
With Conte set to implement a 3-5-2 system at Inter, Perisic will be unable to play in his favoured left wing role and if he wishes to stay at Inter, he will need to adapt himself to becoming a left wing back instead.
Currently Inter have Kwadwo Asamoah and Dalbert currently able to play in this role but the latter looks set to leave the club for Lyon, which would then leave just Asamoah.
If Conte is able to convince Perisic to swap positions then it would likely save Inter from having to go out and buy another left wing back but if he is unable to, Inter will be forced to take action in the transfer market.
Conte signed Emerson during his stint in charge of Chelsea and with no guarantees of regular playing time, the Italian could look to leave the blues, especially given EURO 2020 is coming up.
