Milan Skriniar paid homage to Inter’s new boss Antonio Conte following today’s preseason win over Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nerazzurri won 6-5 on a penalty shoot-out after Samuele Longo cancelled out Thilo Kehrer’s opener in the first half.

Skriniar played 83 minutes of the International Super Cup match in Macao, before being replaced by academy player Lorenzo Pirola.

The centre-back told Inter.it: “We’re getting better game after game. We’re improving a lot as we follow Conte’s instructions.

“It was a difficult match but we put in a good performance. We had more chances than them to score but thankfully we put the score-line right at the end.”

Inter will now return to Europe ahead of their final two preseason friendlies, against Tottenham next Sunday and Valencia on 10 August.

The new Serie A campaign will then get under way on 24 August, with the fixture ceremony due to take place in Milan on Monday evening.
