Roma are threatening to raise their asking price for Edin Dzeko even further after telling Inter they want €20 million, according to La Repubblica.

The Nerazzurri made an improved €15 million offer on Monday after the clubs’ managements met in Milan, having initially offered only €10 million plus academy forward Edoardo Vergani.

Roma are not budging on their demands for the Bosnian, though, and could move Dzeko’s price tag beyond the €20 million mark in the coming days.

The paper today warned the Giallorossi they were playing ‘a dangerous game’, given Dzeko has already decided to join Inter and could leave for free in six months’ time.

Beppe Marotta was intercepted by reporters in Rome this afternoon and told them there were no updates as far as Dzeko was concerned.

The 33-year-old has not got involved in talks and has not gone public to force his club’s hand, but it remains to be seen how much longer he will tolerate Roma’s game of hardball.
