In a report for TMW, Gianluca Di Marzio outlined Inter’s dealings on the transfer market: “In the near future Cagliari will get a phone call from Inter regarding Radja Nainggolan who, along with Marco Sau, has been followed by Inter’s scouts for some time during the season. Inter hope to realize an acquistion of the Belgian but the plan is reportedly to use a lot of players and little cash, a solution that I do not believe Cagliari will be excited about.”
“Inter have also embarked on a quest for Zaza who is heading back to Sampdoria, phone calls to people close to the Ascoli player are becoming more frequent. His contract expires in 2014 and a contract extension is far away, and thus the challenge is ready. Firstly, Paratici has discovered him and has already shown up to take him to Juve. Then there is Milan who have been in contact with the player’s entourage and will decide whether to get serious of an acquisition before they book an appointment for a meeting with Sampdoria. Recently, even Bigoni and Ausilio have emerged, with Inter willing to let the striker stay one year at Sampdoria instead of taking him directly, even though the player declared that he is Milan Supporter. A meeting is scheduled for this afternoon, before the season continues, to talk about Icardi and define potential players that may be included in the deal (in addition to Duncan, Sampdoria would like to get Longo).”
