Romelu Lukaku’s imminent move to Inter could spark a domino effect on the transfer market, according to La Repubblica.

Inter should announce Lukaku as their fifth summer signing later today after the forward underwent a medical on Thursday morning.

The Belgian international’s arrival will have consequences on the futures of various other strikers, however, with his new club right in the thick of the action.

“Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi are waiting while Edin Dzeko wants Inter and won’t give up on joining them,” the paper reported.

“On the contrary, last night Dzeko informed his agent he will work to win over Roma’s resistance from the start of next week.

“If he were allowed to leave, Roma would try and convince Gonzalo Higuain to move on loan to the capital for a fee of €9 million.”

Antonio Conte wanted Lukaku and Dzeko to spearhead his new-look attack at Inter and at last his employers have secured the first of his two targets.

The Nerazzurri must now remain vigilant on the market in the hope Dzeko, and perhaps Dybala, can be coaxed towards the club as well.
