Despite looking set to leave several times during the transfer window, Federico Dimarco will instead remain at Inter this coming season according to a report from Rome based news outlet Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian full back, who spent last season out on loan at fellow Serie A club Parma, has drawn links to several clubs including both Genoa and Atalanta over the course of the transfer window but no move has come to fruition.

The 21-year-old remaining at the Nerazzurri for this season is particularly helpful when it comes to Inter meeting homegrown requirements, particularly in UEFA competitions, which is something Inter have struggled to fulfil in recent seasons.

Dimarco is likely to be behind Kwadwo Asamoah and Dalbert in the pecking order and will thus be the third choice at left back/left wing back.

Dimarco re-joined Inter last Summer from Swiss side Sion prior to being shipped out on loan to the aforementioned Parma and is under contract at San Siro until the end of the 2022/23 season.
