Legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi has offered Inter manager Antonio Conte some advice for how he can make his Inter team more competitive.

Conte’s Inter have won two from two in Serie A so far this season but Sacchi believes Conte can still do more.

“If Antonio Conte wants his Inter team to be able to compete with Juventus and Napoli, he will have to teach his players that it is better to take the initiative than leave it to their opponents, as what happened when Cagliari scored. Letting your opponents in your box or in the immediate vicinity is always very dangerous” Sacchi said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Antonio will also have to teach them pressing that generates courage and allows them to play their game. Antonio is one of the best managers in the world and he can give the team a beautiful attacking and winning image.”

He concluded: “This would be a fundamental turning point for Italian football, both in terms of growth and evolution. The team will grow more by dominating games rather than allowing their opponents to do it.”
