Radja Nainggolan has admitted that he had offers to leave Inter to go to China before settling for a return to Cagliari.

The Belgian midfielder rejoined the Rossoblu on a season long loan deal during the Summer transfer window having been told by Inter management that they no longer considered him as part of the club’s project, just a year after he arrived at the club from Roma.

“I had offers from China and I needed to talk. Conte helped me to understand and now I am very happy with the choice I made. The Cagliari president was good at convincing me too,” 31-year-old Nainggolan remarked in an interview with blogcagliaricalcio1920.net.

In conclusion Nainggolan was asked about the money on offer from China: “Could I have made more money? I don’t play for money.”

Since returning to the Sardinian club, Nainggolan has made three appearances across all competitions, in which he has contributed one assist.
