Alexis Sanchez says that Inter’s ambitions to achieve things on the field is the reason he joined the club during the Summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old Chilean has arrived at the club on a season long loan deal from Premier League outfit Manchester United and has found himself re-united with Romelu Lukaku, who also joined the Nerazzurri in the Summer.

“I can feel the will here to achieve. This is why I’m here. That’s why Romelu is here too. Will it work? We will have a lot more to say about that at the end of the season,” he explained in an interview with ESPN.

Sanchez, who is no stranger to Italian football having previously turned out for Udinese, then went on to praise Lukaku and reflect on what went wrong for them at Old Trafford.

“You can look long and hard, but you will not find anyone else like Romelu Lukaku anywhere in the world. Lukaku and I trained very well together but we needed to play more in games to get to our best.

“It wasn’t the right time for us to be at Manchester United. There were too many changes. When there are that many changes, it is tough.
