Despite fears he would miss out through injury, Fabio Quagliarella will in fact be available for selection for Sampdoria for tomorrow’s match against Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
The veteran striker, who was the top scorer in Serie A last season, was an unused substitute in La Samp’s 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina in mid-week with manager Eusebio Di Francesco confirming that the player had sustained a neck injury.
Di Francesco, as per the report will make a few changes to the side that lost in Florence. Julian Chabot will come in for Jeison Murillo, who will miss the match through suspension and Quagliarella will replace Manolo Gabbiadini up top. He will also deploy the side in a 3-4-1-2 opposed to the 3-4-2-1 they played on Wednesday night.
Probable Sampdoria Starting XI (3-4-1-2): Emil Audero; Bartosz Bereszynski, Julian Chabot, Omar Colley; Fabio Depaoli, Albin Ekdal, Ronaldo Vieira, Nicola Murru; Gaston Ramirez; Fabio Quagliarella, Gianluca Caprari.
