Former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has told AC Milan that he has zero interest in succeeding Marco Giampaolo, should Giampaolo be sacked according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Giampaolo’s Rossoneri have got off to a very bad start in the league having lost four of the opening six fixtures and the former Sampdoria boss’ future is seemingly at great risk with some reports even suggesting he could be sacked if he fails to lead his side to victory over Genoa this weekend.
The Rome based news outlet suggest that Milan leaders appear to have already made their mind up about Giampaolo and have already started contacting potential replacements, including Spalletti.
Spalletti however gave an absolutely definitive no when contacted as to whether or not he would like to take the job on.
Spalletti was removed from his position as Inter boss this Summer and is still on the Nerazzurri’s payroll until June 2021 with him set to pocket a total sum of €13 million gross.
