The refereeing appointments for the upcoming round of Champions League group stage action have been announced with Anthony Taylor assigned to referee Inter’s match with Borussia Dortmund.
41-year-old Taylor, who primarily referees in the Premier League, will be assisted by fellow countrymen Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn. David Coote will be the fourth official for the match at San Siro, which will be played on Wednesday night. Stuart Attwell will be in charge of looking after VAR and will have Paul Tierney there to assist him.
Taylor has refereed in 10 matches across all competitions this season and has dished out no less than 43 yellow cards across them. He has also handed out two red cards as a result of two bookings but has yet to hand out a straight red card. He has also awarded three penalties.
Inter head into this game in much need of a win if they wish to keep their chances of progression alive having picked up just one point from the opening two group stage matches whilst Dortmund and Barcelona both find themselves on four points.
