In today’s paper edition of Corriere dello Sport, they have taken a look at Valentino Lazaro’s continued struggles at Inter after a poor performance in the 4-3 win over Sassuolo at the weekend.

Lazaro did badly when he came on,” the report from the Roman newspaper begins.

“This is the second failed test by the Austrian but Inter staff and management have no doubts about his €22 million purchase back in June. At the same time, there is the awareness that, also due to the injury he sustained, Valentino still needs time to complete the tactical transformation that Conte has in mind for him.”

The report goes on to conclude that Lazaro is not the only player to be struggling with Conte’s tactical demands either.

“Godin and Skriniar have both also had problems adapting to the new system because until now they had always played in a four man defence. It is no coincidence that in the last four matches that Inter have conceded eight goals.”
