In today’s paper edition Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at how the meeting between Inter and AC Milan went with the Superintendency of Fine Arts in Milan went yesterday.
This was just the latest in a series of meetings the clubs have had relating to their proposed new stadium with this meeting particularly focused on the future of San Siro, the stadium the two clubs will vacate.
“No steps forward and no step backwards. Given that we are in football, a 0-0 score without too many emotions could be the right result to talk about yesterday’s meeting between Inter-Milan and the Superintendency of Fine Arts in Milan on the project of the new San Siro,” the report begins.
“The architectural value of the second tier of San Siro pushed the cultural heritage manager, Antonella Ranaldi, to give a negative opinion to the demolition of the stadium a few weeks ago.
“The idea of redevelopment was put on the plate by the Polytechnic in front of the municipal councillors. At this point the decision of the Municipality on the public interest of the project, expected not before November, will be fundamental: the speech on the future of the Meazza could become topical again after the choice of Palazzo Marino.”
