Inter central midfielder Nicolo Barella has shared his thoughts and feelings off the back of Inter’s vital 2-0 win over Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Lautaro Martinez gave Inter a first half lead with an excellent finish off of a lovely Stefan de Vrij assist and Antonio Candreva scored in the final minutes to double Inter’s lead.
“If it would help the team out, I would run even after the game is over, that would be okay with me. The performance is the result of the strength of this group that is slowly growing. We had to pick up the three points, we got them and we are happy,” he remarked in an interview with RSI.
He concluded: “We were compact and it was difficult for us to score goals. We are a newly formed group with a new coach at the helm and an ambitious leadership. We need to grow, we are doing well and this result is a step forward for us.”
