In today’s paper edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at how Inter manager Antonio Conte has managed to get even more out of several of his players.

Starting with Lautaro Martinez, Conte has helped the Argentine striker to refine his game and become more complete. Inter wish to sign the 22-year-old to a new contract due to his improvements but talks are not expected to really take off until after the January transfer window.

Stefan de Vrij has become the most congenial player in Conte’s 3-5-2 system. Starring in the centre of the three man defence, de Vrij has added a new string to his bow by showing an ability going forward.

Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella have got their respective Nerazzurri careers off to a flyer and have proven themselves to be vital at this early stage of the season. Fellow midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is also performing well.

Alessandro Bastoni is another player. Bastoni has saw some action this season and does not look at all out of place and plays beyond his years.

The report goes on to conclude that the ‘King Midas’ of Conte’s Inter is Antonio Candreva, who has been completely revitalised by Conte coming in.
