Inter legend and current vice-president Javier Zanetti has taken to social media to celebrate the opening of the new sky box at San Siro.

The sky box, which was opened in collaboration with Volvo, Inter’s official car sponsor, was used for the first time this past Saturday as Inter played out a 2-2 draw with Parma.

The sky box has been specifically opened so children undergoing cancer treatment at the Cancer institute in Milan and children undergoing medical treatment at the Maria Letizia Verga Centre can see Inter games live.

“On the occasion of the match between Inter and Parma, in collaboration with Volvo, Official Car of FC Internazionale Milano, the Meazza was inaugurated the Sky Box that will host in several league matches for special guests,” Zanetti’s post to Instagram begins.

“Thanks to the project called Football Therapy carried out in collaboration with the pediatric oncology of the Cancer Institute of Milan and the pediatric hematology of the Maria Letizia Verga Center, children in oncology and hematology are welcomed at the stadium.”
