Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez both continued their good runs of goal scoring form as both netted goals in last night’s 2-1 away win over Brescia for Inter in Serie A
Both players are on the verge of matching their league goal tallies for last season, just 10 games into this league campaign, an obvious sign of improvement on the part of both players, a report in today’s print edition of Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport details.
Lautaro Martinez has netted five goals thus far this season in the league and needs just one more goal to match last seasons tally and two to beat it.
26-year-old Belgian international Lukaku meanwhile has seven league goals to his name and needs two more to match his tally last season in the Premier League for Manchester United – who he left to join Inter this past Summer in a club record €65 million deal.
“From this union, only something beautiful can be born,” the report concludes.
