Inter are ready to make a move for Parma’s Matteo Darmian if wing back Valentino Lazaro does not show signs of improvement between now and the opening of the January transfer window according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
Inter manager Antonio Conte has reassured Austrian international Lazaro that he has faith in him but at the same time made it clear that he is expecting him to turn the corner after a less than ideal start to life in Nerazzurri following his arrival this past Summer.
If Lazaro continues to struggle, Inter, as per the report, could look to ship him out for the remainder of the season come January and would then go in for Darmian to replace him.
23-year-old Lazaro, who joined in a circa €20 million deal from Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin, has been limited to just 58 minutes across two appearances for Inter and has showed signs of struggle when on the pitch, particularly when it comes to defending in Conte’s 3-5-2 system.
