Inter have little interest in signing Dries Mertens from Napoli either in the January transfer window or in the Summer according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
This report from the Milanese newspaper comes after several reports in recent days have linked the Nerazzurri strongly with the Belgian international, whose contract with the Partenopei is due to expire at the end of this season.
Napoli president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis intends to put the ring leaders of the recent revolt against the training camp up for sale, including Mertens, who he will put on the market for just €10 million.
The 32-year-old attacker has been with Napoli since the Summer of 2013, and has made just shy of 300 appearances, in which he has scored 116 goals.
This season he has made 15 appearances across all competitions. In 1067 minutes on the field, the former PSV Eindhoven player has scored seven goals and provided two assists.
