In an interview during Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia show ‘Sky Calcio Club’, Inter legend Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has admitted to changing his opinion on Antonio Conte’s comments post-Borussia Dortmund.
Conte blew his top in the mixed zone at Signal Iduna Park having watched his side blow a 2-o lead and hit out at club management for poor planning.
“I had initially considered his outburst a bit inappropriate because the owners have done well but then I thought that Antonio Conte has the full support of the dressing room so this made it possible for him to make the statements he did. Nicolo Barella’s reaction for example was very positive,” he said.
He also spoke on Inter owned Radja Nainggolan who scored once and grabbed a hat-trick of assists in loan club Cagliari’s 5-2 win over Fiorentina: “He arrived at a Cagliari team that signed two other players eager for revenge, in Marko Rog and Giovanni Simeone.”
