Inter and AC Milan are working on back up plans in case their work with the City Council don’t provide adequate solutions, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The report details how the clubs have a Plan B of moving the new stadium project to the San Donato area of Milan, allowing them to pursue their current projects without having to change as much as the City has requested them to in relation to the San Siro area.
The reason that the Sesto San Giovanni plan has taken a backseat, the report continues, is because there are some unknowns in the area that the club don’t want to risk. This is because the clubs would have to work on reclaiming the area, which would be difficult to carry out.
Finally, the report suggests that there is also a secret third plan. However, the main option is still building a new stadium in the San Siro area.
