Inter have multiple players who have a history with Torino, a curious fact analysed in depth in a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.
The report details how Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio is the most obvious example of a player having played for both teams that’s likely to feature in tonight’s game. The 31-year-old Italian spent five seasons with the Granata before joining Inter in 2014 and was an important player for the Turin based club. He made 123 appearances for the club in that time, scoring ten goals in the process.
Other examples of players in Inter’s squad that have a history with Torino include 34-year-old Italian goalkeeper Daniele Padelli. The back-up shot stopper made 116 appearances for the Granata over his four seasons at the club before joining Inter in 2017, although he has only registered two appearances for the Nerazzurri since then.
Then there is 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper Tommaso Berni, who joined Inter from Torino in 2014, although he has failed to make aa single appearance with either club. His last appearance in a match was with Sampdoria in the 2012/13 season.
