As part of his latest editorial for TuttoMercatoWeb, noted journalist Luca Marchetti has discussed what Inter are looking to do in the upcoming January transfer window.

“Inter are evaluating the possibility of exchanging Llorente and Politano and that in reality with the return of Sanchez they would not need to necessarily proceed with this idea,” he began.

“This is because Inter has more need to strengthen the midfield. That’s why Vidal is the declared goal to strengthen the team, although Barcelona do not want to lose him.

“This is why Inter are still looking around. Borussia Dortmund and German national team midfielder Julian Weigl is their plan B.”

He then discussed defensive targets for the Nerazzurri.

“Inter are looking for alternatives for the left hand side because of Asamoah’s problems which therefore mean only Biraghi is there. Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri are two names but the problem is that Chelsea have high valuations of them.”
