A player capable of providing Inter manager Antonio Conte with an alternative to Marcelo Brozovic is being targeted ahead of the Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Since Brozovic’s transformation from attacking midfielder to regista, Inter have relied heavily on him to begin the attacks.

When the Croatian international is unavailable, it becomes clear that Inter struggle without him which is why a player capable of fulfilling a similar role is being sought by the club.

As per the report from the Rome based newspaper, Inter have identified Brescia’s Sandro Tonali as a player who could not only come in and make a general impact but also deputise for Brozovic when required to do so.

Tonali is widely regarded as one of the best up and coming Italian talents out there but going by other reports in the media, Inter are far from alone in being interested with Juventus also understood to be keen on him.
