Inter are leading the race to sign highly rated Brescia and Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Inter face competition from arch rivals Juventus for the 19-year-old’s signature and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is desperate to avoid a repeat of the Dejan Kulusevski situation which saw the Bianconeri snatch the Swede from right under the Nerazzurri’s noses.
Inter see Tonali as the perfect player to bolster their midfield and aside from Juventus, they could also find themselves competing with Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain for his signature, the report goes on.
Tonali is widely regarded as one of the best up and coming Italian talents out there at the moment and reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that it could take at least €50 million to prize him away from Brescia.
This season he has made 22 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored a single goal and tallied four assists.
