Lautaro Martinez is one of Barcelona’s top transfer targets for the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The reigning Spanish champions are on the look out for a long term replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez and appear to have set their sights on Inter’s 22-year-old sensation.
The Argentine international striker has been with Inter since the Summer of 2018 and is under contract with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
He has a release clause of €111 million in his current contract, a clause that is only valid during the first two weeks of every July.
Reports in the Italian media have suggested for some time that Inter hope to sign him to a new contract without a release clause attached in order to give them more power when clubs come knocking for him.
This season he has 16 goals in 27 games across all competitions.
