Our partners at FcInterNews.it interviewed Ezequiel Schelotto’s agent, Daniele Boaglio exclusively and we at SempreInter.com give you the interview in its entirety.

How do you think the first few months have looked for Ezequiel in Milano?

“He isn’t unhappy but it hasn’t been 100% either as he hasn’t been able to play that much but tis is normal. When you leave a mediocre team like Atalanta to go to a big team like Inter the differences are huge. He arrived during a season where the problems have been many, but he hasn’t been one of those who has suffered the most.”

From a tactical point of view, has he suffered from not being able to play in his real position?

“It’s the same situation as in the previous question. He is coming to terms with the fact that the expectations and demands in a big team are high and that you have to be flexible. He has to continue training well as he is doing right now and adapt to how things work.”

Is he irritated over the situation?

“It’s about getting used to a situation where you feel more comfortable. No-one likes to be played out of position but this is normal that you have to do this in emergency situations.”

Do you think it’s improbable to discuss that he will be sold to Torino in the summer?

“It’s absolutely improbable that this will happen.”

Many people criticized the deal that took him to Inter, especially since Livaja went in the opposite direction, could this be a burden for him?

“No, absolutely not. The responsibility for the transfer doesn’t fall on his shoulders, the problem lies with him. He arrived during a difficult season. He is an athlete who bases his performance on his physical strength, he isn’t used to not being played every week, he has to suffer because he plays one sunday, then not the following one, then plays the one after that. Besides he comes from a complicated season at Atalanta. When the team isn’t playing well you can’t blame everything on one player.”

Cesare Prandelli said a while back that it’s maybe better to play him in as a full-back. Do you agree?

“He can play in both positions, he has the characteristic traits required. He has to try to find himself in a good position do do this or the other on the pitch. To do that you need to play regularly. He can play as a full-back but he needs time. You have to remember that he started his career as a winger in a 4-4-2 system.”

Has he in any way been affected by the criticism from the fans?

“Inter’s supporters have always demanded a lot from their players. When things aren’t going well at a big club then people always look for a scapegoat. But the lad has character and I can assure you that this hasn’t affected him one bit.”
